Practice based learning

Practice based learning at USQ aims to develop the employability skills of graduates through practical experience, work placements, industry visits, mentoring and guest lectures.

Industry experience program

The industry experience program is a practical learning-based work experience program that allows an organisation to employ a student for unpaid work experience up to 30 days over a designated period of time. The program assists organisations complete short-term projects, as well as enhancing the industry and employability skills of students.

Career mentoring

The career mentoring program assists students to prepare for the transition from university to employment. Students will be given opportunities to develop the tools, knowledge and networks necessary to achieve their career goals through a mentoring relationship.

Our alternative entries to study at the University are designed to cater for students with varying personal responsibilities and lifestyles.

Flexible study modes

We provide students with flexible study modes and alternatives to traditional classroom programs. Students can study on-campus, off-campus, online or a combination of all three. This delivery gives students the ability to fast track studies, spread their workloads, and attend intensive mode workshops.

Student Guild

The Student Guild is the social, cultural and sporting centre of the University, providing a wide range of activities and services to all students.
