ClassesThe USQ Library conducts classes at the beginning of each semester of the academic year. If you have any inquiries about classes at other times of the year, please contact your campus Library Information Desk or email: libinfo@usq.edu.au Attending one or two classes will give you the skills you need to effectively search for books, journal articles and other information for your assignments.
Library classes are also offered to Off-Campus Students including Residential School classes.
Finding Information for Your Assignments - Introduction will discuss the concepts of Information quality, Information sources and how to evaluate information. This class will also cover Library homepage and its features, how to use the Library catalogue to locate resources for your assignments (Duration one hour.) Classes are run in the first 5 weeks of semester. Finding Information for Your Assignments - Advanced will show you how to access online databases to find journal articles for your assignments, how to find and use electronic books (Duration one hour). Classes are run in the first 5 weeks of semester. Endnote is a software package to assist postgraduates and academic staff to record and organize their references. The Library conducts introductory classes and advanced classes to update experienced users to the latest version of the software.
